I went to the Dubai Autodrome to see the motorcycle races yesterday. It was the last 600cc race of the year and I found out about it from a guy I met coming back from the MotoGP race in Qatar in March.
An added attraction was that they were having the Arab Run (copied after the Gumball Rally) which was invitation only with 10,000 AED entry fee. They toured through Dubai and ended up at the Autodrome. The racing was club racing and nobody was really fast but it seemed that they had a lot of fun. A lot better trophies than in the SCCA days as well as videotaped interviews but here the "club racing" is National Racing. Was fun and nice and sunny. Best of all, it was FREE!
