Got a new door mat and a rug (at Ikea)for inside the front door-trying to hold down the dust/sand tracking. Went to the huge ACE hardware looking for a 1/4" NPT tap and the Ikea was across the street so I went. It is designed like a casino so you have to walk everywhere before you can get out the door which is how they sucked me into the rugs.
By the time I got out of there it was dark but I wanted to go to the bookstore, too. The main bookstore is in a mall, It was a really nice mall and had a lot more locals. Different from the Emirates Mall customers. Ford was having some Ford Fusion thing like American Idol complete with 3 judges who reviewed the people after they sang . Somebody probably wins a Fusion. It was funny. Got a road map, an Arabic phrase book, and some local guide books.
