Filled up the car today. They sell gas by the Imperial Gallon - a sign of the past British colonialism. It cost me 73 dollars to fill up!! Of course those were UAE dollars or AEDs which made it come out to about $1.42/US gallon. They pump your gas and wash your windshield with some pretty muddy water but my windshield was easier to see through.
It was foggy again this morning on the way in. It was foggy the first day I drove in too. In fact so foggy that I first missed my turn and then found it was more than a mile down a divided highway before I'd be able to turn around. Before I got to the turnaround I noticed that traffic back wasn't moving so I found an alternate route using the GPS. I felt pretty smart until I got to the port and realized that although I thought I had, I had not marked where the office was the day they delivered my car to the office. In the fog I couldn't recognize how to get to where the office was. After seeing a Building I did recognize as being close by but still not being able to find the office, I called B. and got directions. Since I'd left for work early just in case, I still got in on time but B. had spread the news and when I came in he led them in applause that I'd found my way in.
