“With a hard-working husband, a maid…and a gardener to keep the villa grounds green, the wives of Western executives on assignment in Dubai find themselves with plenty of time on their hands. While many women find a niche and start up a business or do charity work, others take advantage of the weather, cafes, and spas, to transform themselves into what have become known as ‘Jumeirah Janes’. Easily recognizable by their perfect nails, deep tans and trainer-toned bodies, you’ll spot them in their SUVs on the way to the Lime Tree Café for lunch with gal pals: the best schools and new aerobic workouts are freely discussed; the horror of having to one day go back to gloomy weather and doing your own housework studiously avoided.”
On the days T. had to work, "Margherita" did the laundry...

while "Jane" spent the day lounging by the apartment pool
or working out at the exercise room.
All residents have access and membership to the Hayya! facility in the complex (above).
"Home" is the 4th terrace from the bottom -- on the 4th floor of this 31 floor building.
Never did lunch at the Lime Tree, but ice cream at the Haggen Dazs shop on the Marina level was only steps away!
It was a nice life while it lasted!
