Last word on Tokyo

Ed. note: It was a slow week for email and updates, partly due to the 13-hour time difference and a busy work schedule. Got an email tonight that he's back in Dubai. He did manage to take some time out to have some fun in Tokyo this weekend.

Friday--
Went out tonight for the Tokyo Factory end of year party. There are 20 new grads from India universities currently in Tokyo training to support the sales office. The Japanese will do the sales/relationships and Indian nationals will do all the support work. The fair play side of me appreciates the obvious eventual required levelization of the world economy, but the next phase will be interesting because when you can't underpay developing world employees any longer, will even corporations become nationalistic?

Saturday--
We toured Tokyo today. Took a Tokyo Bay lunch cruise. Saw one jelly-fish, a small fish school swirling the water near the dock and some ducks in the sea but not much other wildlife. We also went to a Buddhist temple, palace grounds, and some drive bys of other sites. B., K., and I are headed out to an Indian restuarant in a few minutes.
